Hollywood
I never did make it to Hollywood
I never got that Nashville dream.
Strange I turned up playing an old guitar
on some deserted sunny beach.
I could cry about the dreams I missed
If I only had a little more time
But the moon is rising as the sun sets low
So I got to build a bonfire
and pour another glass of wine.
Fight
I fight with angels in the darkness
We fight the devils in the night
We fight the time that is against us all
Untill the morning light
Running
Find the silence if you think you can
It’s not so easy anymore
I used to care so much about
Which road I ran
But I’m not running anymore.
I wanted to be some kind of a hero
It just did not come to pass
Maybe some kind of a rock star
But it was not in my path.
I ran the back roads like everyone else
I never had much fear of dying.
It would not matter if you cry or run
We all have just so much time.
I escaped it once before in my past
But it will be back around.
I just hope when it finds me
I’m wide awake
If it sneaks up from behind.
Moon
I am a child of the moon
I just stay in my room
I play soft music loud
I don’t fit with the crowd.
Night Time
You pass into the night time so easily
I stare long into the dark silence of my cold room
I start searching for some melody on the wings of a dove
But I end jusrt chasing shadows of love
Breath
Every breath could be the last that I take
Every morning I’m suprised I awake
Let me live just one more day
I’ve got a tune that I just got to play.
And it’s stuck in my head
It’s just got to get out
Don’t bring me down
Cause I’m ready to shout
Movie
Like a movie inside of a dream.
We are not what we seem to be.
Just an actor in a play.
But not really here today.
You are magic lightning in a bottle.
Very hard to do.
It never strikes twice.
That is the price.
To be you.
The Road Ahead
We all know the road ahead
It’s no secret where we are going
You don’t realize when you are young
That we all ride the same train
Time
Silence and time scare me the most
They are the same emptiness
Only silence can be changed
Time just runs on like a train
It passes in silence
When there is no silence the train stands still
I want to make a sound that breaks the night
Beat the drums like a pack of wolves
Raise the moon right into the sky
Chase it west till the earth stands still
