Like a movie inside of a dream.
We are not what we seem to be.
Just an actor in a play.
But not really here today.
You are magic lightning in a bottle.
Very hard to do.
It never strikes twice.
That is the price.
To be you.
Like a movie inside of a dream.
We are not what we seem to be.
Just an actor in a play.
But not really here today.
You are magic lightning in a bottle.
Very hard to do.
It never strikes twice.
That is the price.
To be you.
We all know the road ahead
It’s no secret where we are going
You don’t realize when you are young
That we all ride the same train
Silence and time scare me the most
They are the same emptiness
Only silence can be changed
Time just runs on like a train
It passes in silence
When there is no silence the train stands still
I want to make a sound that breaks the night
Beat the drums like a pack of wolves
Raise the moon right into the sky
Chase it west till the earth stands still
So many tools now at your command
Insta anything,
twit the world with one hand.
I can see my house
From the edge of space
Just one step back
I got the whole human race
In one picture.
Every word and every thought that you think
Recorded somewhere by the time you blink
I’m not the kind to worry about things
Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings
Every one knows the road ahead
We all know the future
You know your’s and I know mine
We all had dreams yes we did
But it’s not what it seems, It never is
Life is the price you pay to see the future.
Love is the cost of living here today.
What time has done to me
My world you will never see
This mind fighting to get out
No one can ever know
About what I am
Where I come from
What I might be
You are the one
Lookin at the sunshine
Take it all in
What u see
It’s ok
I’m thinkin bout some hard times
Not goin back
Never be
Gotta keep your head
Ride the wind
Make it to the beach
Hang on to the bigger waves
Land in one peice.
Can you wake the mind
sleeping there in the darkness.
Here we are a bunch of misfits floating on a raft
In an endless sea from a shady past
No wind to blow the sail I see
The dust on my desk is getting deep
Sometimes it all just gets to me
And I no longer sleep
Where is the spark in this endless sea
I can’t find it like it can’t be found
My fingers struggle just to make a sound
No one would notice if I fell off and drowned
Always waiting for a moment
To pass you by
A couple of moments
Might just make you cry
Who would have known
If a couple stitches saved in time
Might have been enough to save one of your nine lives
So many so strong
With such great passion for so long
I’m so frail and I’m so weak
Why would I even try to speak
The road has been so very rough
And I’m so beaten down
But they don’t know what is coming up
When time comes slipping around
When you set out on this road
You think you can touch the sun
The world falls apart around you
You pick up the pieces and run
Pick a different song
Find a new rainbow to guide you
Love the night so long
Get the sunrise in your eyes
You won’t notice when it begins
On this journey unchosen
Patched up broken pieces
Make up everything in my life
Everything slightly damaged even inside
There are no straight edges
There are no clean lines
The paint is worn and tattered
The colors fading to your eye
I am so very sorry
For all that I have broken,
All that I have lost
And all I have wronged
Wounded with a slight
Or passed over in the moment
Not a matter of wrong or right
just some simple words left unspoken
We trample through the world,
No regret beneath or feet
They say don’t look back,
keep your head above the storm
We never see the ruins
Collecting on the trail behind us
All the pain left behind you,
all the love lost in the dust
You’ll see it in the end
with no time left to save yourself
only when it is too late
is the answer in your hand
don’t pass another day or
burn the bridge behind us
Now it’s fading in the dust
Don’t let your true love wait.
Every note I play
is a drop of my blood
A stain in time where I once stood.
So many notes left, yet to be
How many drops can be left in me.
Once the notes fell like rain.
I did not care from where they came.
I let them fall where ever they may
On drunken ears talking as I played.
So few left now, I know its true
So please take a note
if I play one for you.
I squeeze the last drops
from this aching hand
Let it calm the storm inside this man
It has all the hope I have left in me.
And I know in the end
it will set me free.
When the last drop falls
you’ll know it’s true.
My greatest joy was to play a tune.
