Blue bullets fly, they cut through the night so easy.
They crack the sky, tearing us apart completly
The shattered lives, lying in the street again tonight.
The angels fly away on broken wings, right into the night

Darkness creeping  like a runaway train tonight.
Nobody driving you better hold on tight.
Streets are running red once again we cry.
People watching people hiding inside.

Shadows chasing these crazy waves tonight.
I walk the beach and I sing to the tide
Darkness chasing the crazy runaway train tonight.
A band of angels stand by my side,
When we cross the line.

Countless bands of angels, countless I songs never heard.
Some great cause to follow but they never been put into words.
We are all just soldiers in a war rising on the tide.
The angels stand in the shadows to hear the songs we have inside

Seems like all my words come right out of darkness, yet I’m searching for the light.
I feel the warm wind on my face, I hear the earth in flight.
I could reach out and touch the moon, while the sun is chasing me around.
In the quiet darkness I find home, and I’m still searching for a sound.

Let the moon light find me, let the music play.
Beat the drums untill we shake the ground.
Till love comes back to stay.

A troubled child on the news again
Nothing to lose nothing to win
A familiar child with no fear
Where else would I be
You find me here

I picked it apart every word un clear
Seems so long ago alone,
Searching for answers in the tunes
Everywhere sound, but few clues here
I still hear it in my dreams,
It whispers to my ear

So many nights
driving the back way home
Cruising for miles
with nowhere to go
Radio tunes by the dashboard light.
Searching for clues
to fix my broken soul

So easy to get lost
inside your own darkness
And forget all about
the world out side
Forget that once upon a time
I was that child
Searching for a miracle
to save my life

On the point of a pin
every world unsaid
I see now what I didn’t see then
What you lose, what you choose
From the same set of clues
Another ember floating on the wind

So many days now have passed us by
So many nightmares in so many nights.
I walked a lonely road in darkness
Did not even know why.
We would never find the dream
Just couldn’t get it right.

Didn’t know it at the time
But you will always walk alone.
The dream you spend your life searching for
Was within you all the time.

So many bands of angels
Songs by angels never heard
Some great cause to follow
Yet never be put to words
We are all just soldiers
in a war rising on the tide.
The angels wait in shadows
To hear the songs we have inside.
