Woke with a dream in the back of my head
About 50 years ago
A runaway band in a greyhound station
a misfit traveling show

No Destination couldn’t go home
No real place to go
Run away in the dead of the night
Begin a life out on the road

Why did I run

Daddy’s back from a war
With those voices in his head
An Angry man filled with pride
A broken family man

Was it wrong the children ask
He keeps it inside
The kids just see the brutality
And then the angels cried

Every one knows the road ahead
We all know the future
You know your’s and I know mine
We all had dreams yes we did
But it’s not what it seems, It never is

Life is the price you pay to see the future.
Love is the cost of living here today.

What time has done to me
My world you will never see
This mind fighting to get out

No one can ever know
About what I am
Where I come from
What I might be

Lookin at the sunshine

It’s ok
I’m thinkin bout some hard times
